You dictate code, names or technical terms
Aqua Voice is built for this. It reads your screen for context and lets you add your own terms to a dictionary. Its Pro plan costs less than Wispr Flow Pro. Wispr Flow also keeps a personal dictionary for names and jargon.
You work on Windows and rely on voice commands
Dragon Professional is Windows desktop software built around custom voice commands, macros and boilerplate text, for document-heavy work. Nuance sells it through its sales team and resellers rather than a public price list. If you mainly want clean dictation, Wispr Flow, Superwhisper, Typeless and Aqua Voice also run on Windows.
Do you still need a dictation app?

Is Dragon still available?
Yes, Dragon Professional is still sold for Windows 11 and Windows 10, through Nuance's sales team and resellers. It suits people who rely on custom voice commands, macros and boilerplate text in long documents. Nuance discontinued Dragon for Mac in 2018, so Mac users should look at Wispr Flow, Superwhisper, Typeless or Aqua Voice.
