Omnisend Pricing in 2026: What Each Plan Costs After the SMS Changes

Omnisend has a free plan, then Standard from $16 a month and Pro from $59, and both paid plans rise with the size of your contact list. SMS is a separate credit subscription that only Pro can add: for new accounts since May 4, 2026, and for every Pro user since October 26.

Quick answer: how much does Omnisend cost?

As of October 2026, Omnisend pricing starts with a Free plan for 250 contacts and 500 emails a month. Standard costs $16 a month for 500 contacts and Pro $59 a month for up to 2,500. Both rise with your list: $81 and $90 at 5,000 contacts, $132 and $150 at 10,000. SMS is now a Pro-only add-on, billed separately from $10 a month. Our read: many stores can start on Free or Standard and look at Pro once they want SMS or pass a few thousand contacts.

Standard is enough if

  • You mainly send email campaigns and automations to your store's customers
  • You have no plans to send text messages for now

The trade. Standard lets you send 12 emails per contact each month, so 6,000 at 500 contacts. Web push is unlimited, and the plan includes two of Omnisend's AI tools.

Look at Pro if

  • You want SMS or MMS next to your emails
  • Your list has 2,500 to 10,000 contacts, where Pro costs $9 to $22 a month more than Standard (our math)

The trade. Pro adds unlimited email, three more AI tools (five in all) and access to SMS credits. The texts themselves are billed on top, from $10 a month.

Omnisend changed the way it sells SMS twice in 2026, in May and again in October. Some older guides online still describe Pro with text credits included.

So we went back to Omnisend's own pricing page and Help Center on October 28, 2026. This guide covers what each plan costs at your list size, how Omnisend counts the contacts you pay for, what SMS adds, and which discounts you can actually use.

The billing rules come from its Help Center articles on plans, billing and SMS credits. The plan screenshots come from that page. Where two Omnisend pages disagree, we show both.

The product screenshots come from our own Omnisend account on the Free plan, taken in August 2026 for our review. We haven't paid for Standard or Pro or sent text messages through Omnisend, so the example bill is our own math from Omnisend's published prices, not a real invoice.

Omnisend Pricing Plans: Free, Standard, Pro and Custom

Omnisend sells three self-serve plans and a Custom plan for very large senders. According to Omnisend's FAQ, all three include email campaigns, automations, signup forms and segmentation. What changes is how many contacts and emails you get, which AI tools come with the plan, and whether you can send SMS.

Omnisend's pricing page at 251 to 500 contacts, October 28, 2026. The prepay toggle is on, so Standard shows $11.20 instead of $16 and Pro $41.30 instead of $59.
  • Free

    $0

The Omnisend free plan sends up to 500 emails a month to 250 contacts, plus 500 web push notifications, with no credit card. You can upload a bigger list, but each campaign goes to a segment of 250 contacts or fewer. Omnisend has no free trial, so this plan is the way to try it.

  • Standard

    From $16 a month

Priced by list size. You can send 12 emails per contact each month, and web push is unlimited. The plan card lists Omnisend Agent with two AI tools. Forms builds a form's design, copy and visuals from your prompt, Omnisend says, and Chat is described as AI-powered insights from your data.

  • Pro

    From $59 a month

The entry price covers up to 2,500 contacts, with unlimited email under Omnisend's fair use policy. It lists Omnisend Agent Pro with five AI tools: Forms, Chat, Dynamic content, Product recommender and Personalized sending time. It is also the only self-serve plan that can add SMS and MMS.

  • Custom

    Quote

For brands with very large lists or sending volumes. Omnisend's team sets the price, and the plan card lists unlimited email, a custom contact amount and SMS at what Omnisend calls leading rates.

The automation library in our own Omnisend account on the Free plan, August 2026. Omnisend's FAQ says automations, forms and segmentation come with the Free plan too.

Our read: Omnisend mostly charges for the contacts you keep, not the emails you send. Standard's allowance of 12 emails per contact is about three sends a week to your whole list, automations included (our math).

Omnisend Pricing by List Size: Standard vs Pro

Regular monthly prices in US dollars before tax, for the top of each range on Omnisend's slider (for example 4,501 to 5,000 contacts), read from its pricing page on October 28, 2026. Pro sends unlimited email under a fair use policy. Above 150,000 contacts, Omnisend quotes a Custom plan.

Omnisend pricing chart comparing Standard and Pro monthly prices from 500 to 50,000 contacts, with how much more Pro costs at each list size
Our chart of Omnisend's regular prices at seven list sizes. At 2,500, 5,000 and 10,000 contacts, Pro costs $9 to $18 a month more than Standard.

Compare the two plans at your own list size. At 500 and 1,000 contacts, Pro's $59 entry price is about three to nearly four times Standard's (our math). From 2,500 to 10,000 contacts, the difference shrinks to between $9 and $22 a month, and Pro adds unlimited email, three more AI tools and access to SMS.

Past 10,500 contacts the gap grows quickly, to $118 a month at 25,000 and $302 at 50,000 (our math). At those sizes, Pro makes sense mainly when you send a lot more than 12 emails per contact or rely on SMS.

Our advice: if your list sits between 2,500 and 10,000 contacts and you might use SMS within the year, price Pro before you settle on Standard.

How Omnisend Counts Contacts (and Why Your Bill Can Grow)

Omnisend bills paid plans on billable contacts, and that count is wider than your newsletter list. Its Help Center says billable contacts include subscribers who opted in to email, SMS or push. They also include non-subscribers: customers who placed an order or abandoned a cart but never opted in to marketing. Those people count because they receive automated transactional messages.

Which Omnisend contacts count toward the bill
Contact Counts toward your plan?
Subscribed to email, SMS or pushYes
Customer who bought without opting inYes
Abandoned cart, no opt-inYes
UnsubscribedNo

From Omnisend's Help Center article Understand your Omnisend paid plan charges, checked October 28, 2026. Only unsubscribed contacts are left out of the count.

Billing runs in 30-day cycles from the day you upgrade, paid upfront. Your tier adjusts on its own as the list grows or shrinks. If you try to send a campaign to more contacts than your tier covers, Omnisend asks you to upgrade before it sends, and the change is prorated.

Before you upgrade

Our advice: look at how many of your contacts came from orders and abandoned carts without opting in, and remove the ones you no longer need. That total, not the size of your newsletter list, sets your Omnisend price.

Omnisend SMS Pricing: What Text Messages Cost Now

As of October 2026, SMS on Omnisend is a monthly credit subscription that only Pro can add, from $10 to $30,000 a month. The more you commit each month, the less each text costs.

Omnisend pricing features table with email on every plan and SMS/MMS ticked only for Pro, plus web push limits of 500 on Free and unlimited on paid plans
The features table on Omnisend's pricing page, October 28, 2026: SMS and MMS are ticked for Pro only.

$50 to $999.99$0.0085$0.0255
$1,000 to $9,999.99$0.008$0.024
$10,000 and up$0.007$0.021

Per message, from Omnisend's pricing page and its Help Center article Manage your Omnisend SMS Credits Subscription, checked October 28, 2026. MMS goes to US and Canadian numbers only.

Texts to other countries cost more. At the lowest tier, Omnisend's pricing page lists $0.025 per SMS for Canada, $0.036 for Australia and $0.045 for the UK. France is $0.063 and Germany $0.108, and each of these countries gets lower rates at higher tiers.

Omnisend pricing at 4,501 to 5,000 contacts, with Standard at $56.70 and Pro at $63 on prepay, and the SMS credits slider set to $50 for 5,882 texts
The pricing page at 4,501 to 5,000 contacts. Below the plans, the SMS slider shows $50 a month for 5,882 US texts.

An example, by our math: a store with 5,000 contacts on Pro pays $90 a month for the plan. Adding the $50 SMS subscription brings the total to $140 a month, which covers 5,882 US texts at $0.0085 each.

Unused credits roll into the next billing cycle and expire 60 days after they were added. You can also turn on auto-upgrade, which moves you to a higher SMS tier when your balance drops below a level you set, with an optional ceiling tier to cap spending. Omnisend's Help Center says you choose those settings when you first subscribe, and later changes go through Support.

Omnisend's own pages differ on SMS for the Free plan

The FAQ on Omnisend's pricing page says the Free plan includes SMS, and that Pro comes with bonus SMS credits equal to your bill. The features table on the same page and Omnisend's Help Center say SMS is Pro only for accounts that subscribed from May 4, 2026, with credits sold separately. We'd go by the Help Center and plan any SMS on Pro.

Omnisend Legacy Pro: What Changed on October 26, 2026

If you subscribed to Pro before May 4, 2026 and kept that plan, you were on Legacy Pro, which included SMS credits worth the plan price each month. Omnisend retired Legacy Pro on October 26, 2026 and moved those stores to the current Pro automatically, with no action needed.

What changed for Legacy Pro users on October 26, 2026
What changes What Omnisend's Help Center says
Pro plan priceDoesn't change as a direct result of the move
Monthly SMS creditsNo longer included; SMS moves to a separate SMS Credits Subscription
Automatic SMS subscriptionMay be added from your last 30 days of SMS use, first billed with your next Pro billing cycle
Leftover Legacy Pro creditsUsable until 60 days after they were issued
Price protectionIf the move raises your total cost by more than 20%, temporary pricing protection may apply for six months
New on your planPersonalized Sending Time

From Omnisend's Help Center article Omnisend pricing plans 2026, updated October 27 and checked October 28, 2026.

Our advice for existing Pro users: before your next renewal, open your billing settings and check whether an SMS subscription was added and at which tier. If the move raised your total by more than 20%, ask Omnisend's Support team about the six-month protection.

Free and Standard users who had an SMS subscription before May 4, 2026 can keep it at legacy rates while it stays active. If they cancel it, SMS comes back only with Pro.

From Omnisend's pricing page, its Help Center article Omnisend pricing plans 2026, its discount codes page and its Black Friday page, checked October 28, 2026. The Black Friday code can't be combined with other promotions.

The prepay offer is the one most people see first, because the pricing page opens with it switched on. At 500 contacts, Standard costs $33.60 for the first three months instead of $48, and Pro $123.90 instead of $177. After three months, billing returns to the regular monthly price.

Omnisend's discount page says codes from coupon sites aren't valid. Its Black Friday page describes who can use the code in two ways: one line names former paying customers now on the Free plan, another names new customers and Free users upgrading. Our advice: enter the code at checkout and confirm the price before you pay.

You can start on the Free plan and pick the offer that fits when you upgrade.

Is Omnisend Worth the Price?

Omnisend is worth it for online stores that want email automation built around orders and carts at a low entry price. The first paid step is Standard, and Omnisend says it costs up to 35% less than Klaviyo's email plan, a comparison it bases on May 2026 prices without SMS.

Two kinds of store may find the price less of a fit. A large list you email only now and then still counts every billable contact. And if SMS is your main channel, you need Pro plus a credit subscription. Klaviyo may suit brands that want deeper predictive segmentation, as our Klaviyo vs Omnisend comparison explains. For more options, see our AI email marketing tools.

Which Omnisend Plan Should You Choose?

  • A new store trying email marketing

    Free

250 contacts and 500 emails a month are enough to set up a welcome series and test campaigns. Upgrade when your list passes 250.

  • A growing store focused on email

    Standard

Priced by list size, with 12 emails per contact each month. It suits email-only stores, especially below 2,500 contacts, where Pro costs much more.

  • A store adding SMS, or with 2,500 to 10,000 contacts

    Pro

SMS needs Pro, and in this range Pro costs $9 to $22 a month more than Standard by our math, so it's worth pricing. Budget the SMS credits on top.

  • A brand with a very large list

    Custom

Above 150,000 contacts, or with heavy sending, ask Omnisend's team for a quote.

The email template gallery in our Omnisend account on the Free plan, August 2026, with goal and theme filters.

Our advice: check your billable contact count before you choose, counting customers who bought or abandoned a cart as well as subscribers. That number decides your price on every paid plan.

Is Omnisend's pricing a good deal?

As of October 2026, Omnisend pricing runs from a Free plan for 250 contacts to Standard from $16 a month and Pro from $59, with both paid plans priced by list size. SMS is a Pro-only add-on from $10 a month, and since Legacy Pro was retired on October 26, no Pro plan includes text credits. For an online store that mainly sends email, Standard covers campaigns and automations at a modest price, and Pro is worth pricing between 2,500 and 10,000 contacts.

What we'd do. Start on the Free plan with your store connected, check your billable contacts, then compare Standard and Pro at that number. If you upgrade, the 3-month prepay discount is the simplest saving.

Omnisend pricing FAQ

How much does Omnisend cost per month?

Omnisend costs $0 on the Free plan, from $16 a month on Standard and from $59 a month on Pro, as of October 2026. Paid prices rise with your list: at 10,000 contacts, Standard is $132 and Pro $150 a month. SMS credits on Pro cost extra, from $10 a month.

Is Omnisend free?

Yes, Omnisend has a Free plan with no time limit and no credit card. It sends up to 500 emails a month to 250 contacts and includes 500 web push notifications. You can upload more contacts, but each campaign must go to a segment of 250 or fewer until you upgrade.

Does Omnisend have a free trial?

No, Omnisend doesn't offer a free trial of its paid plans. Its Free plan is the way to try it, with no time limit. When you upgrade for the first time, paying three months upfront gives 30% off those three months, which lowers the cost of testing Standard or Pro.

How much does Omnisend SMS cost?

Omnisend SMS costs $0.007 to $0.009 per text in the US as of October 2026, depending on your monthly credit subscription, which runs from $10 to $30,000. MMS costs three times the SMS rate. SMS is available on the Pro plan only, and texts to other countries cost more.

Can I send SMS on Omnisend's Standard plan?

No, Omnisend's Standard plan can't send SMS for accounts that subscribed from May 4, 2026. You need Pro and a separate SMS Credits Subscription. Standard users who had an SMS subscription before that date can keep it at legacy rates while it stays active.

What happened to Omnisend Legacy Pro?

Omnisend retired Legacy Pro on October 26, 2026 and moved those stores to the current Pro plan automatically. The Pro plan price doesn't change because of the move, but SMS credits are no longer included, so your total bill may change. An SMS subscription may be added based on your last 30 days of use, and unused credits stay valid for 60 days after they were issued.

What counts as a billable contact in Omnisend?

Omnisend counts every subscribed contact plus customers who ordered or abandoned a cart without opting in, because they receive automated transactional messages. Only unsubscribed contacts are excluded. That is why a store's bill can grow even when its newsletter list doesn't.

Does Omnisend offer discounts?

Yes, Omnisend gives 30% off the first three months when you pay them upfront on your first paid plan. Its discount page lists the code YOUFOUNDIT for 10% off three billing cycles, and its Black Friday page lists BLACK-FRIDAY-2026 for 30% off until December 1, 2026. Check the price at checkout.

Is Omnisend cheaper than Klaviyo?

Omnisend says its Standard plan costs up to 35% less than Klaviyo's email plan, based on May 2026 prices without SMS. We didn't re-check Klaviyo's prices for this guide. Our Klaviyo vs Omnisend comparison sets the two side by side, including where Klaviyo is the better fit.

What payment methods does Omnisend accept?

Omnisend accepts Visa, Mastercard and American Express cards, including debit and prepaid cards where listed, according to its pricing page FAQ in October 2026. Discover, Diners Club, JCB and UnionPay cards aren't supported. Paid plans renew every 30 days from your upgrade date.
